Amazon is one of the prime online retailers that dominate the Indian e-commerce industry. The United Stated based e-commerce company introduced Junglee a few years back before its entry into the country.

Now, Junglee that is a subsidiary of Amazon allows any vendor to sell second-hand or used products across various product categories including mobile phones, books, tablets, watches, and many more. This is a pilot project for now.

As of now, Amazon has introduced this used goods sale platform only in Bengaluru. It is expected to expand the same to the other metro cities in the coming months. The expansion is based on the encouragement that the customers show towards the initial project that is available in Bengaluru now.

As per the reports that are going on all over the internet, it was a natural extension for the company to provide an opportunity for the customers to purchase and sell the used as well as refurbished products that come with the trust of Amazon. Moreover, it can be done in a convenient way without carrying out much research.

This used goods platform service launched by Amazon India has definitely strengthened to compete against the other e-commerce portals including Quikr and Olx that are dominating the segment in the Indian market.

Moreover, Amazon will provide pick-up and packing services from the seller’s doorsteps and delivery the product to the buyer. There will be a commission to Amazon once the transaction is complete.

Amazon India has used its subsidiary Junglee as the launchpad for the forayal into the Indian market’s used or second-hand product market. Right now, Amazon India is in a stiff competition with Flipkart in order to scale up the online marketplace segment in the country.
