Apple launches new operating system iOS8 and new Mac system Yosemite

June 4, 2014: Apple today unveiled its new operating system for its Mac range of computers and mobile devices. The company announced the launch of the new Mac System called Yosemite and the new mobile system iOS 8. The new Yosemite Mac System includes a total new design and would give a fresh feel to the Mac users. New icons, streamlined toolbars for using the computer’s calendar, calculator and clock are the other new features of Yosemite. The iOS 8 which is smarter than its earlier version gives a new smarter keyboard and includes new features for texting and sending e-mails. The mobile device keyboard has got a improved predictive typing suggestion and includes predicting responses to incoming messages.

The other new feature of iOS 8 is its messaging system. The user can not respond quicker to text messages as the text which arrives will pop up on the top screen and the user just needs to swipe down to type a response. The text app need not be opened to type a response. Apple has also come out with a new feature called iCloud Drive similar to the Dropbox facility offered by Samsung. The users can now store their files online on the iCloud Drive using the new iOS8 and Yosemite. Along with iOS 8 was launched the HealthKit which will collate data from fitness and health monitoring apps and a user can monitor their health using this kit.

The new health-monitoring app for iOS 8, Healthkit is similar to the app launched by Samsung recently for its Gear 2 smartwatches. Apple would be using this Healthkit app for its smart watch which the experts feel would be launched shortly.  Recently it was rumored that Apple would be launching the iPhone 6 shortly and in all probability these new features including the new operating system iOS8 would be available in this smartphone and the smartwatch.
