Google on Wednesday announched the launch of a new e-mail service that will better organise emails and display information in a more user friendly way. Dubbed ‘Inbox’, this new email service will help the users to see their appointments, package deliveries and flight bookings in a much more organised way. The new email service would help the users in getting real time updates to emails and will also show reminders in a more accessible way. The new application would also enhance features that are already available in Gmail and would allow users to view purchases and bank account statements grouped together

The new ‘Inbox’ service which is being provided alongside Gmail will be available on the Web. It would be available on iPhones and Android smartphones. Gmail was launched by Google in 2004. In a blog post by the company about ‘Inbox’, “it’s a completely different type of inbox, designed to focus on what really matters.”

The company after the announcement has started giving out invitations to select Gmail users to try out the new ‘Inbox’ email service. Those people who would like to get an invitation can also email the company at [email protected].
