Micromax new logo and 15 new smartphones launched

Micromax has announced 15 new smartphones that include two flagship devices such as Canvas 6 and Canvas 6 Pro. Also, there are two 4G tablets as well as LED televisions while launching its new logo.

The second largest smartphone brand in the country apart has changed its tagline to Nuts: Guts: Glory. Micromax new logo is a part of the Micromax 3.0 strategy aimed at growth in the future.

The flagship smartphones are priced at Rs 13,999 each and these will be the first ones from the manufacturer to be launched in 2016. Already, the company has revealed its plan to become the country’s largest services company with 100 million connected devices by the end of the next day apart from being a complete consumer electronics manufacturer.

Rahul Sharma, the Co-Founder of Micromax Informatics stated that they want to make the company the largest services firm in the country. They want to consolidate their leadership position even in the overseas market where they are present and foray into new markets as well.

Micromax has announced that it aims to be one of the top five players across the globe by 2020 apart from making its smartphones locally by the year 2018. The manufacturer has been ranked at the tenth position by Gartner in terms of volume across the globe. It is the second smartphone maker in the country and it aims to become the leader by dominating Samsung. It is banking on its change in strategy to make this possible.

He added that they would continue their investment in various service categories that interest their consumers to form a strong ecosystem within their brand for the most seamless and compelling experience.

The company has an aim to achieve a user base of 50 million by March 2017 for its services and enter into new product categories including connected home and invest in start-ups as well.

The firm will increase its production capacity in the country to achieve high volumes so that it can make 5 million units per month by the end of the year from four plants. It will also set up new assembly plants at Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, and Rajasthan by the next year.
