Reliance Jio Infocomm run by Mukesh Ambani is in plans to place itself as a digital content company in order to make it unique from the other mobile operators. In the highly competitive market, the content streaming packages are a key element, and this is the strategy that the company is planning to implement.

The Reliance Industries Ltd. plans to bundle this with talk time and bandwidth. This is in contrast to the other companies that are offering voice packs and data. Some operators provide bundled access to the social networks including Facebook and WhatsApp for a particular sum and time period.

For instance, a Reliance Jio Infocomm package will let a subscriber to enjoy watching five movies in a month or one cricket match live. These can be done without paying extra for the data download. The connectivity will be subsidized by making a transaction on the payment bank platform of Jio. This means that a customer need not worry about the rates for voice and data as these will be included with then content purchases.

As per one of them familiar with the company’s plans, the internal calculations reveal that in the content model, it should be a monetization of 60 percent to 80 percent GB of the overall data consumed. The operator has lined up applications including television, money, and chat to backup the digital strategy.

Also, most of the marketing efforts of Reliance Jio Infocomm will be focused on its new content driven strategy. This is possible though the firm is having other plans that will be offer bundled data with voice.

The company is already working on the launch of 4G LTE data services that is expected to take place in December. The operator is trying to sort the technical issues of connecting with the network of Jio on three frequencies as all the phones cannot access these.
