Nov 20, 2012: Honda has recalled 11,500 standard variant of its premium motorbikes CBR 250R as part of its commitment to provide maximum customer satisfaction which were manufactured and sold in India. This variant of CBR 250R currently costs Rs.1.48 lakh ex-showroom price. The company is recalling the bikes which were produced and sold in India during March 2011 to September 2012 because of a defective brake system. The company has said that defect which was identified as limited effectiveness of front brake application can be rectified in one hour. Honda Company is rectifying the problem free of cost. This recall is the first of its kind by any two wheeler manufacturer in India.
