Nestled in the bustling lanes of Bandra, Abokado – meaning “avocado” in Japanese -is an intimate 12-seat café that marries the soul of Japan with the vibrant spirit of Bandra. With a menu that creatively blends avocado with Japanese flavors, Abokado is set to revolutionise Mumbai’s dining scene by introducing the concept of micro-dining; with passion and avocado! 

At the helm of this culinary adventure is Chef and Co-founder, Mitesh Rangras, a visionary whose gastronomic prowess has earned him accolades across the industry. With over two decades of experience and a passion for pushing culinary boundaries, Chef Mitesh brings a unique blend of expertise and innovation to Abokado.

The menu features a curated selection of small plates designed for sharing. Vegetarians can enjoy dishes like the Abokado Hummus, complemented by edamame, chili crunch, and pink dragon fruit, and the Burrata & Grilled Asparagus Salad with chili crunch and sesame seeds. The Cream Cheese Espuma, paired with charred edamame and broccoli, offers a unique taste experience. The 5 Mushroom Aguachile, with its smoky mushrooms and tangy cilantro jalapeno sauce, is also a standout. For non-vegetarians, options include the Hamachi Aguachile, Salmon Carpaccio Salad with avocado slices, and Tuna Tartare featuring unagi sauce. The hot small plates provide additional variety: vegetarian choices like the Spiced Sweet Potato Wedges and Abokado Nuggets are complemented by non-veg selections such as crispy bacon strips with caramelized brown sugar and The “Sapporo Slider” with katsu.

           

The rice bowl offerings include the Miso Mushroom Chili and Katsu Chili Chicken, each brimming with rich flavors. Dessert options feature indulgent treats such as the Bruleed Liquid Cheesecake, Griddled Choco Chip Cookie, and The Rose, which pairs silk chocolate with raspberry jelly. The Mango Yuzu Mousse Cake with Matcha Jaconde provides a refreshing conclusion to the meal. Beverage choices range from Organic Pour-over Coffee and a selection of Hot Teas, including Japanese Matcha and Sencha, to Cold Brew Coffee variations. Guests can also enjoy refreshing drinks like Kombucha, Matcha Iced Latte, Lavender Lemonade, and Hibiscus Mint Iced Tea. There is an adventurous treat of Wasabi Ice Cream served in a cone, offering a bold and unique fusion of flavors
