At the World Economic Forum, Nokia‘s CEO said that smartphones will not be necessary for the 6G era. Since more, IoT-enabled devices are being used. Smartphones are slowly becoming less relevant. Today, we have smartwatches and many other smart devices.
Today we even have 5G networks which are 90% more carbon emission-free than 4G. Many countries are currently aiming to deploy zero carbon emissions by 2030. Many advanced countries are already testing the 6G networks for deployment.
India is also going to launch 5G this year. The new networks will also increase the performance of the network. Due to the introduction of 4G, the networks have been facing more load. The new content creators and the huge number of media which is being uploaded is increasing every day.
Now, the internet is being used for consuming media. People rely on the internet for almost everything. This is also decreasing the performance of the existing networks.
Therefore, 6G will bring much-needed relief for the telecom companies. It will also reduce the stress on the consumers who are constantly facing network issues in various areas.
The new network will bring some advantages with it. It will make the internet more accessible to the general public. The remote areas of the country can experience better connectivity than before. The new network will also make it possible to improve the existing condition of many connected devices. Some of the existing problems which people are facing will also disappear. Along with all these, some of the restrictions of the 4G and 5G networks will also disappear.
But all of these will also have some disadvantages. The new network will also bring some new problems. There will also be some disruptions, which we will face after the initial stages of the network introduction.
All of these don’t mean that we should stop using smartphones now. It is because it will take time for all of this to happen. The newer technologies should not be presented as a danger or threat. They should be embraced with a positive mindset. The new improvements may take time to perform perfectly. But they will bring some good changes in the future. We will have to wait and watch for the results to unfold.
