6th edition of International Summit on Early Years by KLAY emphasised on holistic child development

Bangalore, 20th September: The International Summit on Early Years (ISEY) 2024, held on 13th September, brought together experts and thought leaders to explore the latest trends in early childhood education. The virtual event, themed “Children of the Future: Nurturing Skills, Embedding Technology, Empowering Parents”, focused on enhancing child development strategies and preparing children for an evolving world

Organized by KLAY Preschools and Daycare in collaboration with the Institute of Early Childhood Education and Development (IECED), the summit opened with an address by AK Srikanth, CEO of KLAY SchoolsMeghna Yadav, Head of Training and Development, Child Psychologist and Family Counsellor at KLAY Preschools, introduced the day’s key themes, which set the tone for expert-led workshops by Sangeetha Sarenathan, Anjali Kariappa, and Meena Murugappan. These sessions centered on building strong foundational skills while integrating technology to future-proof early education.

A highlight was the engaging conversation between author and entrepreneur Rashmi Bansal and Meghna Yadav. Rashmi discussed the importance of nurturing children’s passions, embracing failure as a learning tool, and balancing technology with creativity and hands-on play.

The Early Years Impact Awards, hosted by Arshleen Kalra, Head of Academics at KLAY Preschools, recognized significant contributions in early childhood education. The winners were awarded ₹1 lakh in three categories, celebrating excellence in shaping the future of education.

The event concluded with an inspiring talk by actor and jewellery designer Neelam Kothari Soni. Reflecting on motherhood, she emphasized the value of exposing children to diverse cultures and allowing them to shape their own identities. “Children need the freedom to grow into who they are meant to be. By supporting their unique qualities and integrating technology in learning, we create a solid foundation for their growth,” Neelam shared.

Meghna Yadav expressed her enthusiasm for ISEY’s vision: “This summit has been a powerful platform for deepening our understanding of early childhood education. The focus on integrating technology into early learning is essential for developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills that will equip children for a digital future.”
