August 12, 2013: Raymond the iconic suiting brand which has been working with RK Swamy for the creative part is likely to end its 10 year old relationship. According to sources, Raymond is looking for a new creative partner. Raymond which has the tagline ‘The Complete Man’ coined by Nexus Equity in 1992 has 60 per cent market share in India.
Speaking about the development, Mrinmoy Mukherjee, Director-Marketing, Raymond was quoted as saying “We have invited a select group of agencies along with the incumbent agency RK Swamy to make presentations. We haven’t really gone scouting for creative agencies in the recent past and we are doing this after a fair amount of time.” Raymond hired RK Swamy associates in the year 2002 and since then have been dealing with them.
Recently Raymond has moved its media part to Madison Media in June and this move of Raymond is being watched by experts with curiosity. It is being said that apart from RK Swamy, Publicis Worldwide, Grey India and Taproot are in the fray for the account. Though the verdict on who is going to handle the account would be out in two to three weeks but one thing is for sure Raymond would not be dropping its tagline ‘The Complete Man’ in the near future.
