May 16, 2014: After recalling the largest number of vehicles probably in the history of Indian automobile market in July 2013 General Motors is on a brand rescue mission. General Motors which recalled 1,14,000 units of its multi purpose vehicle Chevrolet Tavera manufactured between 2005 and 2013 will soon announce a campaign in which the company will reimburse any expense incurred by the customers in excess of a specified amount in the first three years of buying a car.
Chevrolet will be launching its complete service and maintenance package called Chevrolet ‘Complete Care’ in India next month which will include six times servicing after paying an upfront amount. This effort of General Motors is similar to do what it did in 2008-09 when the parent company in US had gone bust and filed for bankruptcy. According to P Balendran, Vice President, Corporate Affairs, “The complete care programme has been tailored to create and enhance customer loyalty towards the Chevrolet brand by offering a memorable customer service experience.”
Chevrolet Complete Care scheme is said to be better than the previous Chevrolet Promise scheme as the scope has been widened significantly this time. The customers would be able to avail more free services and added benefits such as free replacement of parts (inclusive of spare parts and accessories). Apart from this free roadside assistance, and free pick-up and drop for ladies and senior citizens for their car’s servicing is also covered in the Complete Care Scheme.
