June 3, 2014: The private bank, IndusInd announced the launch of a new banking channel – a video-branch for its customers. This is claimed to be the first of its kind in India, where customers will be able to do their banking operations with the bank staff through a video conferencing facility. This facility will further enhance convenience banking and attempt to digitize the customer experience too. Customers need not go to banks distant branches and wait in queues to get things done. They can do at their own convenience and do it at home or work place or while on the move too.
Banks in India are focusing a lot on customer-centric initiatives to differentiate and compete in the market place. This facility will be extended to customers on desktop, smartphone and tablet, which is expected to benefit business users. The video branch app can be downloaded from Google and Apple play stores. Users can also avail this application from IndusInd bank website. The company sources confirmed that it will be a 24×7 service. The service is made available across India and to both existing and new customers of the bank.
