June 25, 2014: Blackberry has finally released a smartphone in affordable price range for the markets of India and Indonesia. It was released in Indonesia first for a price of IDR 2,199,000 which is equal to around Rs 11,000. Today it was released in Indian market as well for a price tag of around Rs 15000. Pre-order booking has started and it can be done through selected e-commerce stores and Blackberry outlets. The company has given exclusive rights to the MobileStore to launch Z3 smartphones in India.
Z3 is the first phone manufactured by Chinese company Foxconn for Blackberry. Features of the phone look quite adequate from a budget friendly smartphone point of view. The smartphone has a 5-inch qHD display and operates on Blackberry 10 OS version. It is powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm 400 dual-core processor. It has 1.5 GB RAM and comes with 8 GB storage space and a microSD card to increase the memory capacity.
Powered by 2500 mAH battery, Z3 has a 5MP rear camera and a 1.1MP front-facing camera. It supports Hindi and English predictive text as well as has options for supporting Wifi, Bluetooth, FM Radio and GPS.
