Aug 21, 2014: On Wednesday, one of the leading two-wheeler manufacturers, TVS Motor Co unleashed the Scooty Zest 110 priced at Rs. 42,300 (ex-showroom price in Delhi). The latest two-wheeler adds to the successful lineup of automatic scooters that comprises of Jupiter and Wego. With the launch of this new vehicle, the Scooty lineup establishes its poaition as India’s most popular for automatic scooters for women.
In terms of design and looks, the Scooty Zest 110 is pretty compact and petite with a modified styling in comparison to the old Scooty. It has a similar facade featuring flush-fitted elegant indicators that are embellished with a two-tone front apron. The handles are made of an alloy lending a compact and premium feel to the scooter as it is engineered for light handling suiting women.
At the back, there is an LED powered warning cluster at the Zest’s tail. Also, it is claimed to be very easy and effortless for the riders to put the scooter on the front stand.
TVS has used longer and wider riding saddle on the Scooty Zest that will make it more comfortable in comparison to the previous Scooty models. Also, there is a large storage bay with a capacity of 19 litres and handy storage cubbies to house small items. Furthermore, like in the other models there are retractable bag hooks and a broader front floorboard that is textured,
On the features front, the TVS Scooty Zest 110 features a legible speedometer, fuel gauge and odometer. It also receives the trademark econometer from TVS that helps riders to monitor the fuel economy of this new scooter. The vehicle has excellent quality grips and switches and body colored mirrors as well.
Talking of technical details, the Scooty Zest 110 is powered by a four-stroke, single cylinder, carbureted and air cooled 109.7 cc engine that can be triggered either via button or kick start. The auto choke system in the vehicle helps in easy start as well. This engine is capable of delivering 7.9 bhp power at 7,500 rpm. The maximum torque output that the Scooty Zest 110 can render is 0.89 kgm at 5,500 rpm.
TVS is priced this new Scooty model competitively at Rs 42,300 and has made it available in different color options such as red, black, white and turquoise.
