Hyundai Launches SportZ Edition on Grand i10 Anniversary

September 4, 2014: Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), the largest exporter and the second largest car maker inIndiais celebrating one year of the successful Grand i10. On the verge of celebrating the same, the auto manufacturer introduced a new model – SportZ Edition on Wednesday.

Talking about the latest model – Grand SportZ, the edition is available in two variants. The petrol model has a 1.2 litre Kappa petrol engine that combines optimum performance and best-in-class fuel efficiency delivering 24 kmpl. On the other hand, the diesel model comes with a U2 1.1 litre CRDi diesel engine that features Dual VTVT technology with the ability to render a mileage of 18.9 kmpl.

Also, the Grand SportZ Edition comes with a slew of sporty and state-of-the-art features including 14 Diamond cut Alloy wheels, steering mounted audio and Bluetooth controls, Bluetooth connectivity, rear spoiler, leather wrap on steering wheel and B-Pillar blackout with body graphics. In order to e enhance the interiors of the vehicle further, the maker has used premium full cloth upholstery and it is crafted with different tones of red providing a rich feel.

On the pricing front, petrol and diesel variants of the Grand SportZ Editions are priced at Rs 511,550 and Rs 598,554. These are ex-showroom pricing as far asDelhiis concerned and the same is subjected to change based on the region.

Commenting at the launch, Rakesh Srivastava, Sr. VP, Marketing and Sales, HMIL mentioned that the SportZ Edition of Grand is expected to be a huge success as the brand Hyundai known for creating a benchmark in features, technology and quality.

Announced in September 2013, the Grand i10 managed to grab over 110,000 owners in the country in just 10 months and it was rewarded with the esteemed Indian Car of the Year (ICOTY) 2014 award along with few others. Moreover, the Grand created a new standard in the automotive industry by getting in to the list of the top 5 most selling brands in the country. In fact, the Hyundai Grand is the first four-wheeler to achieve such a landmark inIndiawithin a short time span.
