Google My Business Service Launched to Help SMBs

To the content of the small and medium business (SMBs) owners, the search engine giant Google has created a new application called Google My Business. This new application will help the SMBs to create an online presence easier.

Google has designed this new product to work across both desktop and mobile devices. The Google My Business service will assist the SMBs to create and update their business details on different Google products including Maps, Search and Google+ from a single place for free. Furthermore, this service is available in both English and Hindi languages as well.

Regarding this new service, Head of SMB Sales at GoogleIndia, Suryanarayana Kodukulla stated thatIndiais a strategic market for the firm and it is highly committed to invest in solutions that will cater to the demands of the SMBs in the country.

He further added that as a part of Google’s Digitizing India mission, the firm is introducing the new Google My Business service that will let the SMBs to effectively create and manage their online presence. This way, the service will help the SMBs to connect with potential customers via online.

As per Google, there are over two million businesses across the globe that use the firm’s advertising platform to discover potential buyers using Internet. The Google executive added thatIndiahas grown in terms of Internet usage and it is the third largest Internet market in the world.

Notably, it took a decade for the country to register its first hunder million Internet users, but the next hundred million dropped in within couple of years, hinting at the fast growth rate. Furthermore, in the next one and a half years, the third hundred million users will access the Internet.

The Google SMW Heroes imitative was launched in Bengaluru and it is aimed to showcase and celebrate the local SMBs that use the Internet to achieve growth in their business. Regarding this initiative, Suryanarayana Kodukulla noted that the campaign is focused to inspire the SMBs by introducing them to successful entrepreneurs who have already excelled using the Internet in innovative ways.
