Soon, you can find Maaza sachet strips hanging alongside shampoo and chip packets in the small neighborhood stores. The all time favorite mango drink Maaza will soon be sold in sachet strips by its manufacturer Coca-Cola.
Well, Coca-Cola the famous beverage manufacturer tied up with Tetra Pak, the packaging solutions provider to develop affordable packaged beverages. This way, the Indian consumers can stay hydrated during the summer season. This information was revealed by Tetra Pak Group’s Global President and CEO, Dennis Jonsson and Coca-ColaIndiaand South West Asia’s President Venkatesh Kini.
The upcoming sachet strips will be priced less than Rs 10. Coca-Cola will be manufacturing these beverages, and Tetra Pak will create packages for these products. Moreover, it is not only the mango drink Maaza, but also Kinley Glucokal, the glucose based nutrient supplement. The latter will be available in 100 ml Tetra Fino pouches. Notably, this approach is the first attempt made by both the companies across the global markets.
Such sachets or pouches were used in the dairy sector. The packs can be resized as per the requirements. This is advantageous as compared to the glass or PET bottles or cans that are create with the help of moulds of predefined dimensions, claimed the two firms.
The executive from Coca-Cola said that the beverage manufacturer is aiming to scale up the availability of Maaza sachets to different regions acrossIndia. He also added that the other mainstay juice brand from the firm, Minute Maid will also be extended in different flavors in Tetra Fino pouches.
The Maaza sachets or pouches have been in the testing in selected regions in states such asWest Bengaland Uttar Pradesh for over 12 months to 14 months. On the other hand, Kinley Glucojal was in testing for the past six months. It was claimed by the executive from Coca-Cola that the Tetra Fino packs will be taken to the last mile consumers and that it will serve the purpose of meeting low cost hydration. Notably, both the brands are the most affordable products in the ready to drink beverage portfolio of Coca-Cola.
