Maruti Suzuki, the leading India based automobile manufacturer is all set to re launch its brand Baleno into the Indian market after its original launch in 1999. The vehicle has been launched in a new avatar. Well, it has been launched as a premium hatchback model that looks impressive.

This premium hatchback Baleno is codenamed YRA and it will be officially named Baleno. It will hit the Indian market right in time for the festive season of Diwali. This vehicle is expected to outshine the Honda Jazz and Hyundai Elite i20 that are selling around 15,000 units per month. The customers in the country are willing to pay around Rs 7 lakh to Rs 10 lakh for a vehicle and there are enough options in the SUV and compact sedan in the market.

The premium hatchback Baleno is pitted to be a major launch from Maruti Suzuki in the upcoming fiscal. It will play a significant role in the 2020 version of the company and it will also be a part of the premium NEXA outlets of Maruti.

The YRA hatchback will be showcased at the 66th Frankfurt Motor Show this September with the moniker Suzuki Baleno. It will be products through the Indian manufacturing base.

As per Gaurav Vangaal, a senior analyst in charge of forecasting at IHS Automotive stated that there is a pressure on the S-Cross or YAD models. There is an intense competition from the newly launched Hyundai Creta and several other SUVs in the market. The launch of the YRA is a critical one for the NEXA’s success as well.

Lately, Suzuki has stated that the premium hatchback Baleno can raise the bar for the compact hatchbacks by using the compact car expertise of Suzuki. The company has expertise in smart packaging, fuel efficiency, stylish design and driving performance.

Apart from the name, the premium hatchback has nothing in common to the vehicle that was sold in Indian in the previous decade. The experts state that old names are familiar among the customers, but it could be critical.
