The Indian arm of the U.S. based e-commerce portal Amazon.in has come up with the ‘The Great Indian Freedom Sale’. The sale runs for three days starting Monday. As a part of the sale, the e-commerce giant is providing huge discounts on several products. Some of them include smartphones, home and kitchen appliances, headphones, clothing, books and more. There are more than 25 million products across numerous categories listed on offer.
Furthermore, Amazon has claimed that as part of the ‘The Great Indian Freedom Sale’ the customers who order the products via retailer’s mobile application during the sale will get the offer 15 minutes earlier. Also, the e-commerce portal is providing 15 percent cashback on the Axis Bank and HDFC Bank credit and debit cards on the app orders. The users who place orders on the retailer’s website with the above mentioned cards will get 10 percent cashback.

Regarding the sale, Amazon India’s Vice President for Category Management, Samir Kumar stated that they have received an extraordinary response from the customers. He added that ‘The Great Indian Summer Sale’ that was held in May attracted millions of customers across the country. There were ‘Pehle App’ products and deals of lakhs of offerings. Amazon witnessed a six fold growth in the mobile app users and the Amazon.in website’s new customers grew by 400 percent.
