August 5, 2012: The budget carrier SpiceJet Ltd. reported profits in their operations after five quarters of making losses since December 2010. Ever since Kingfisher has got into financial distress, SpiceJet’s market share has risen to 18.6%, making it country’s third biggest in India after Jet Airways and IndiGo.
This performance of SpiceJet assumes significance as Indian carriers have been struggling against fuel and airport charges.
