OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 pro sale has been postponed in India with the outbreak of COVID-19 cases in the Oppo plant in Greater Noida last week. OnePlus shared with its customers that the plan for the launch is changed because of the production halt. Customers who have pre-booked can purchase the phones once the production starts.
OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 pro sales in India are postponed. OnePlus said that they had to change its sales plan after production was stopped temporarily last week because six workers have been tested positive of COVID-19 last week. The two premium phones were supposed to go on sale from Friday 29th May on Amazon India as well as the OnePlus sites. The new date for the sale of OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 pro has not been announced as of yet. Customers who have pre-booked the phones through OnePlus official channels or Amazon India can now purchase the device when the factory starts the manufacture of the phones and stocks become available.
Even though the sale of the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro phones will not start from Friday, there would be a special limited sale of the phones across offline and online channels for OnePlus 8 alone and only limited stocks will be made available for sale. The company would announce the schedule for a proper sale of both the OnePlus 8 pro and OnePlus 8 as soon as the production starts.
However, now that the sales stand postponed, there would only be a special sale for just the OnePlus 8 phone instead. For all techies and the current users who may be into these premium phones, the OnePlus 8 is priced at Rs. 41,999 for the 6GB + 128GB variant, Rs. 44,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant, and Rs. 49,999 for the 12GB + 256GB variant. It comes in Glacial Green, Onyx Black, and a beautiful Interstellar Glow.
The BBK electronics owned OnePlus 7 series was a worldwide success. Oppo and Vivo are also owned by this (BBK electronics) Chinese multinational cooperation. The large list of specifications with a reasonable and attractive price was its major highlight. The delay in the sale of the OnePlus 8 series will be saddening for the brand loyalist.
