Flipkart is planning to offer its customers the options to whichever get their essentials delivered within one and half hours or book a 2-hour slot as per their ease. The delivery items will be sourced from nearby stores, retail chains, and warehouses. Consumers can place orders at any time, and get their products delivered between morning 6:00 am to midnight.

Flipkart marked that the services will enforce sanitization and safety precautions at the delivery process. Customers have to pay a minimum of Rs 29 as a delivery fee.

Flipkart Quick will be introduced first in Bengaluru in selective locations, including Panathur, HSR Layout, Whitefield, BTM Layout, KR Puram, Banashankari, and Indiranagar. In the next upcoming months, the service will be expanded to other areas. With Flipkart Quick Hyper-local, they have the positive potential to bring together the whole network of nearby Kirana stores, warehouses, and other retail sectors onto their display place with just a click.

Sandeep Karwa, Vice-President, Flipkart said hyper-local capabilities are a good mold for India as households are previously used to their nearby Kirana stores. Indians are so calm with what Flipkart calls the ‘hyper-local environment, that there is a trend to develop, domestic ties with shopkeepers and service providers with the convenience of e-commerce. Flipkart Quick will take on a latitude and longitude advance that will not only narrow down the spot but will also result in better delivery time. Moving away from the old style of using a pin code system to know the exact delivery location, which can cover across a large area, Flipkart Quick will use new and innovative technology for mapping the location Karwa said that hyper-local services will help out build a great connection between locally available products and consumers in a particular locality. Flipkart Quick can accommodate all the neighborhood stores into one single platform. Flipkart Quick will expand to six other cities in the upcoming months. Flipkart is planning to digitalize the Kirana by attracting them onto the e-commerce market.
