Samsung has recently launched its new product Wind-Free ACs, which the South Korean company states, would be India’s first air conditioners with the capability to filter PM 1.0. The new AC has the feature of filtering the dust particles up to 0.3 microns in size, and uses an electrostatic charger to sterilize viruses and bacteria.

Equipped with PM 1.0 Filter, the current edition of Wi-Fi – enabled ACs come with innovative Wind-Free cooling technology from Samsung. This Wind-Free tech offers a cooler indoor environment without over cold air flow, causing discomfort. The new Wind-Free versions use a sensor monitoring system and a monitor that provides users with detailed information about the cooling conditions and air quality.

The latest Wind-Free ACs will be available in three versions – 1-Way Cassette, 4-Way Cassette and 360 Cassette with starting price at €90,000+GST. These can be purchased from both offline retail stores and online platforms.

These ACs are integrated with a 4-step display, a PM 1.0 sensor and 3 distinct filters. The pre-filter removes large particles of dust, the deodorization filter eliminates unwanted odour, and the PM 1.0 Filter has an electrostatic charger for collecting and sterilizing ultra-fine dust up to 0.3 microns. The sterilization performance was verified by British multinational insurance, inspection, product testing, and certification firm Intertek, according to Samsung. Users can also attach the PM 1.0 Filter and Ionizer to existing Samsung air-conditioners. The PM 1.0 filters are washable and reusable too.

The Wi-Fi-enabled Wind-Free AC also has the feature of remote control, thus can be operated by the users very easily. The latest range is available in three-panel variants – one-way cassette for unilateral airflow, the four-way cassette for coordinated air flow in four directions and Omni-directional airflow by Cassette 360.

In the COVID-19 pandemic situation, the working of AC s is restricted by the government in the public places because the viruses are transmitting through the air also. The new Samsung product will be a remedy for the current situation and it ensures more safety.

Wind free technology

If you set the target temperature, Wind-Free Cooling can quietly and gently distribute cool air through up to 15,000 micro-air holes to ensure that the direct wind throw doesn’t impact the user. Samsung claims that the rooms will be cooled in a short time.
