As a consequence of the current pandemic, one of the most important things that have occurred this year is that tourism has slowed down dramatically. Although the first half of the year was spent in isolation, finding ways to avoid and control the virus, the second half began to experience people venturing out slowly and carefully, welcoming them back with protection and security in hotels and resorts. Therefore tourism Federation encourages the government to begin a campaign to dispel consumer fears.

The Indian Hotels Company (IHCL, South Asia’s largest hospitality company) launched #TravelForIndia ‘s campaign on the occasion of World Tourism Day on 27 September, to improve the travel industry that has been in limbo for a while now, and which is working hard to boost local economies and generate jobs.

Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) and its affiliates integrate brands and companies that blend warm Indian hospitality and foreign industry. These are the “Taj” signature of iconic hospitality and India’s largest market, “SeleQtions” named the hotel collection, “Vivanta” elegant high-end hotels, and “Ginger” that revolutionizes the luxury lean industry.

This initiative is in line with the government’s ‘Local Voice’ agenda. It seeks to promote healthy travel and help restore the tourism and the hospitality industry. # TravelForIndia wishes to raise awareness of the value and effect of domestic tourism on livelihoods. The initiative included a special video highlighting the country’s remarkable diversity, and a message of resilience, ambition, and peace in harmony, the program also involves a variety of programs promoting aboriginal tourism. September was the start of a concerted effort by IHCL to start a speech on the role of hospitality in the coming months.

For the proposal of the campaign in a press release Puneet Chhatwal, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director IHCL, said. “One of the most important segments of the travel and hospitality industry is one of India’s pandemic-affected industries, accounting for more than 8% of its overall population of more than 4 crore workers “Travel for India,” which showcases the millions committed to making tourism a special experience, encourages responsible travel. It reaffirms IHCL’s commitment to support the sector’s recovery efforts while conveying the far-reaching social impact for each journey.
