The leading brand of germ protection brand, Dettol, announced the launch of its Dettol Handwash in a new 100 % recycled bottle in India.

The limited-edition handwash bottle, one of its kind, has a stunning contemporary black paint style illuminated by golden carvings. Among other environmental causes, some proceeds from the selling of each bottle will go directly to the ASSOCHAM foundation for plastic waste recycling. Dettol seeks to attract conscientious customers with this introduction, who want to make a positive difference in the environment while ensuring that daily handwashing practices are preserved.

As part of this campaign, Dettol will continue its efforts to raise awareness of the value of handwashing by 360-degree media activation to deter the transmission of disease, while also raising awareness of the 100 percent recycled bottle. With the launch of the Dettol Handwash segment in a completely reusable container, Dettol seeks to take a formative step in solving the issue of plastic waste that has further escalated in the light of Covid-19.

Pankaj Duhan, Chief Marketing Officer, RB Health South Asia, commenting on the launch and the project, said, “The onset of the pandemic has raised many concerns about plastic wastage.” We at Dettol have collaborated with our customers as the leading health brand in their quest to tackle the spread of COVID-19 by propagating accurate hygiene steps. It is also our obligation, however, to resolve the environmental issues occurring as a result of expanded plastic use. Dettol’s protection from the 100 diseases that cause germs wrapped in 100 % recycled packaging will not only protect your hands from germs but also the climate with this launch. This would offer a way for environmentally friendly customers to contribute back to the community whilst obtaining their trustworthy Dettol germ protection. I am proud to announce that as an exclusive affiliate, Reliance Retail has joined hands with us to build the dream of getting your homes with the new Dettol 100 percent recycled handwash product.

RB health is committed to making a positive environmental effect through responsible corporate practices as a mission-driven company. A press note specifies that RB will offer 100% plastic packaging for all goods manufactured using reused or recycled materials on a global basis by 2025.

The first step in this direction in India is Dettol’s 100 percent recycled handwash container. This project shows RB’s devotion to contributing to the battle against plastic waste and to catalyzing change inside and outside the industry.
