The Audi RS 5 Coupe and the Sportback are updated to 2021 with a more aggressive outside design, new technologies and latest infotainment, including the new MIB 3 infotainment system, than the previous model. For 2021, the Ascari launch edition and the Black Optic launch edition are available for the RS 5 Coupe and the Sportback in two limited-edition models. The launch version of Ascari and the launch version of Black Optic is available both for the Coupe and Sportback, with exclusive interior and exterior design features for more model differentiation.
In 2021, the RS 5 Coupe and Sportback feature a smarter external design. The Singleframe is wider and more smooth than his predecessor and the broader arches of the wheel give the RS 5 a more striking location according to the nature of RS 6 Avant and RS 7. The ventilation slits above the grid remind us of the classic 1984 Audi Sport Quattro and the modern pentagon form of the solid, predominantly contoured air inlets. The back has an RS exclusive diffuser and wide oval “RS” exhaust pipelines as additional sporting accents. Both the RS 5 Coupe and Sportback are fitted with the Audi laser light in the regular matrix style LED headlights and the dynamic turn signals and animation of the LED taillights.
The latest RS 5 Coupe and Sportback are dominated by horizontal bars. The sports chairs with RS embossing have power side bolsters and massage features, as well as the centre console and door loops, and are covered with fine Napa leather. The RS 5 Sportback is fitted with heated rear seats as standard now. Unique RS displays provide information about pneumatic pressure and temperature, torque, power output, motor oil temperature, boost pressure, lap times, acceleration and g-forces. An exclusive RS view mode is also available on the optional head-up display.
The 2.9 litres V6 TFSI two-turbo engine is in the RS 5 Coupe and Sportback, produces a torque of 444bhp and 600Nm. The RS 5 can sprint from 0 to 100kmph in 3.7 seconds. The Tiptronic rapid-changing 8-speed transmission guides engine power to the permanent all-wheel drive of Quattro. The two RS models have a fixed RS sport suspension in standard mode. The dynamic kit uses steel springs and adjustable dampers to increase stability in the sport suspension RS with Dynamic Ride Control (DRC) to minimise torque and roll movements to improve overall driving characteristics of the vehicle.
