Due to coronavirus, staying at home would not be an easy job, particularly when you have been indoors for over six months. Although adults are thought to be more vigilant these days than Gen Y, it will not always be correct. Or that’s what Saregama Carvaan’s latest advertisement wants everyone to believe, at least.
The ad focuses around the phone conversation of a stubborn father and his ‘alert’ daughter, where the latter is seen warning the former against going out. She points out that while the Coronavirus-induced lockdown might be over, the pandemic is not, as he mentions that some are coming out. He then attempts to reassure her by saying that before he steps out, he’ll wear a mask. She mentions the “Aap 65 ke ho, 25 ke nahin” age factor (you are 65 years old, not 25).
Medical professionals have also said that elderly and older people are at greater risk of coronavirus disease and need to take additional measures before the pandemic is over. They still need to stop receiving guests, besides staying at home
Vikram Mehra, managing director, Saregama India, wrote on LinkedIn sharing the film, these days, the greatest stress point for any grown-up ‘child’ As a kid, yes, I mean you and me as he mentioned.
This, nevertheless, is not Saregama’s first ad film to concentrate on the wellbeing of the elderly. The brand’s earlier film spoke about how these times are mentally and physically exhausting for the elderly and concentrated on the need for entertainment in their lives.
The campaign focused on the nostalgic holiday days of summer, and how parents still knew how to keep their children happy. Now that they are trapped at home, with almost no social life and very minimal means of fun, it’s time for the kids to do this for their parents.
The minute-long film is currently available on all social media sites.
