Ranveer and Mahesh are the two last men standing in a post-apocalyptic world. 2020 has been a tough year, as we are aware of the new strain of coronavirus emerging from the United Kingdom. As all the governments are getting ready to battle the new strain of the virus.

Thums up has released a new ad featuring the Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh and Telugu film star Mahesh Babu. The ad has both the men fighting away the zombies. The ad comes with a plot of two men battle off the zombies.

This is a 60-second ad by Lowe Lintas that features both the actors in a post-apocalyptic world, searching for any remaining men. Both the men head to a Thums up factory, where Ranveer switches on the machines. As they try to grab a bottle of Thums up, zombies appear to defeat them both. But how can Heroes lose? hence the zombies loose in hands of these men. Both men live to fight another day.

Thums Up is always a macho type brand, the script also had two lines which had an indirect reference of the same :

“Lagta hai duniya main hum do aakhri mard bache hain”

“Abhi bhi aakhri mard do he bache hain”

It’s the first time that the two Thums up band ambassadors have worked together. Earlier Thums Up had two separate ads, with the same script and cut of both the actors in Hindi and Telugu languages. The previous Thums up ad had both the actors in adventure action looking for a fix of their favorite cola.

The interesting point is that Mahesh signed for the brand in 2007 replacing Telugu Megastar Chiranjeevi (he worked in Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, and Hindi film). He became one of its national ambassadors in 2012. In 2016, Ranveer signed in and replaced Salman Khan as Thums up’s brand ambassador.

Ranveer shared a BTS online stating that “One of the finest gentlemen I have had the privilege to collaborate with. Our interactions are always enriching. Love and respect to big brother Mahesh Garu”
