Realme V15 5G was released in China days after it was first teased. The new smartphone is the Realme Koi, which debuted a few days earlier and was presumed to be the flagship handset instead. The Realme V15 is the third smartphone in the V-series to have 5G coverage in the mid-range market. There’s hardly anything new on the Realme V15 5G from the company’s latest phones except for the camera style that now shows large circles like the ones on the Oppo Reno 5.

The architecture of the Realme V15 is based on Koi fish, which is significant in both Chinese and Japanese cultures. The Koi fish is renowned for its elegance and vivid colors, which is why the Realme V15 is a mix of highly glossy and bright orange, yellow, and blue colors. The mobile even has the “Dare to Leap” slogan written in bold letters, leaving the back of the device very busy. The mobile will only be available in China until the company plans to introduce it to other markets in the future.

Realme has priced the V15 5G at the start of CNY 1,499, which is approximately Rs 17,000, but will be available for an introductory price of CNY 1399 (roughly Rs 15,900). This model comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage space. There is another 8GB RAM version that costs a little more than CNY 1,999, which is approximately Rs 22,600.

The new Realme smartphone features support for 5G for all carriers in China but only for the sub-6GHz band network. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek 800U Dimensity processor with up to 8 gigs of RAM. You only have 128 gigs of onboard storage on your phone, with microSD card support to extend it. Realme V15 comes with a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED punch-hole display with a 60Hz refresh rate and a maximum brightness of 600 nits. The monitor also contains a fingerprint sensor. The mobile comes with IP protection against dust and water resistance. There is also facial recognition for verification.

For photography, the Realme V15 comes with a triple camera configuration consisting of a 64MP main sensor, an 8MP wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro sensor. Selfies and video calls on the Realme V15 are done by a 16MP front-facing camera with AI and a smart HDR. Realme said that V15 5G cameras support 4K video capture, UIS Max (ultra image stabilization), and 1080p slow-motion videos at 120fps. The Realme V15 5G is backed by a 4310mAh battery with a capacity of up to 50W. Realme states that the battery will charge 50% in just 18 minutes using a bundled adapter. The mobile is 8.1mm thick and weighs 176 grams.
