Sesa Football Academy, which is a major sports project of the Vedanta community, has unveiled its Latest Logo in line with the concept of a larger organization, Vedanta Sports, in line with Vedanta’s greater vision of being one of the major contributors to the upliftment of sports across the nation by comprehensive Grassroot training programs. During the virtual case, the new logo was launched in the presence of Annanya Agarwal, President, Vedanta Sports, Sauvick Mazumdar, CEO-Vedanta Sesa Goa Iron Ore Company, Brahmanand Sankhwalkar, Chairman, GFDC, Leena Verenkar, Group CSR Leader, Vedanta Limited, Vedanta Limited officials, Sesa Football Academy players, coaches and support staff. Sesa Football Academy, by grassroot educational systems, has a rich history spanning over 20 years in the growth of football. With different sports development programs across the country, including Zinc Football in Rajasthan, Vedanta is further extending the scope of sports development programs.
Annanya Agarwal who is the President of Vedanta Sports said that they firmly believe that there are tremendous potential and aptitude for sports among Indian youth. Their relentless effort at Vedanta Sports is to recognize and develop these talents through their grassroots training programs, and thus help the Government of India’s vision of bringing the Indian sports environment to new heights.
Arjuna Awardee Brahmanand Sankhwalkar who is the Chairman of GFDC congratulated the SFA team and said that he congratulates the SFA team on the unveiling of the new logo and wish them all the best for their wider aim of changing sports around the country positively. Since its inception, SFA has contributed greatly to the growth of football through quality youth training programs, and he is confident that they will continue to do so in coming years. He also wishes the team SFA good luck for the coming Pro-League season.
Sauvick Mazumdar who is the CEO of Vedanta, Sesa Goa Iron Ore Business Said while addressing the gathering that community building is their core focus field at Vedanta and they believe that sports act as an important tool for community involvement. Sesa Football Academy has a rich history of over 20 years of football growth and they will continue to contribute through their larger organization, Vedanta Sports, to the holistic development of sports across the country.
Although the extraordinary situation induced by the COVID-19 pandemic has for quite some time stagnated the on-site sports events, SFA has successfully continued player development projects through numerous online and virtual channels. During COVID periods for simulated training & mentoring for the players, SFA has implemented an E-Mentorship program for player development.
