The updated 2021 Jawa 42 launched at Rs 1.84 lakhs

The updated Jawa 42 now commands a premium of Rs 12000 over its predecessor. The 2021 Jawa 42 now costs Rs 183942 (ex-showroom Delhi). The bike has received changes such as the addition of more colors new allow wheels which means tubeless tires and a small windscreen. The Jawa competes with Royal Enfield classic and bullet range, Honda CB 350.

The motorcycle remains the same except for minor changes to the engine which is said to improve performance and catalytic converter have been repositioned to reduce weight. The motorcycle continues to be powered by the same 293cc single-cylinder mill churning out 27bhp and 27.05Nm of torque and a segment only six-speed transmission is also on offer. There are no radical changes to the motorcycle and carry over the same design and styling from the older model.  The addition of the new color scheme includes a contrast color stripe on the fuel tank and the addition of a bar end mirror makes the motorcycle look apart from its competitors. There are three color options available Sirius white, Allstar black, and Orion red all three in matt shades.

Classic legends have made the lower portion of the bike all black including the engine, exhaust pipes, front and rear suspension. The bar end mirrors are offered as standard while flyscreen and headlamp grill are optional accessories. The suspension of the motorcycle is tuned for higher ground clearance and improvements have been made to the side stand as well. The implementation of cross port tech enables in better flow of charge and gasses emitted. The seats have been updated with a new seat pan and cushions to make the seat harder to suit long-distance travel. The previous generation Jawa and Jawa 42 was offered in both single and dual-channel ABS versions priced at Rs 1.63 lakh and Rs 1.72 lakh (ex-showroom).
