Volkswagen’s all new Tiguan Allspace, with new features, is gearing up for its launch on 12 May

Volkswagen is busy preparing for the launch of the Taigun and the Tiguan first. Few times back Tiguan Allspace was launched in India and now Volkswagen is all set to give it a facelift internationally. The new Tiguan Allspace will be revealed on 12th May 2021.Volkswagen is also preparing for the launch of the Volkswagen Taigun and the Volkswagen Tiguan this year.

The new Tiguan Allspace will get a fresh new exterior design. The new Allspace might get new LED tail lights and minor updates to the exterior design including new front and rear bumpers. The long versions of the Tiguan will also boast advanced technical features which include new control and assist systems which guarantee even more convenience and the Tiguan Allspace now has a wide range of online-based services and functions on board thanks to the MIB3 Infotainment system. Engine and drivetrain options though will remain identical to the existing model. The Tiguan Allspace is the long version of the best-selling Tiguan and offers even more space with a luggage compartment volume of up to 1,920litres. With its optional third row of seats, it also offers room for up to seven people. Tiguan Allspace now has a wide range of online-based services and functions on board thanks to the MIB3 Infotainment system. Engine and drivetrain options though will remain identical to the existing model. On the inside, Volkswagen has said that the AllSpace gets a digital cockpit and comprehensive connectivity. This could mean some new assistance systems alongside the new MIB3 infotainment system that adds more connected car tech to the vehicle.

The India-spec Allspace gets nine airbags, park assist, front and rear parking sensors, tyre pressure monitoring system, lane assist, autonomous emergency braking, and hill descent control. These safety features should be retained. Volkswagen already offers the Tiguan Allspace in India, although through the CBU route and in limited numbers. It currently retails at Rs 34.20 lakh (ex-showroom). Towards the end of this year or early-2022, VW could introduce the facelifted model in India as well. The long version will be built at two different sites. The Tiguan L for the Chinese market will be manufactured in Shanghai, while, the LWB (long wheel base) Tiguan versions for North and South America and the Tiguan Allspace for Europe will be made in Puebla, Mexico.
