The Delhi Metro passengers must examine the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) directions for getting a safe and smooth travel experience. While travelling, only sitting on different seats is permitted and no standing is allowed inside the trains as per the present guidelines, according to DMRC.
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has noticed lengthy queues of passengers in current days, outside the metro stations as arrival to the stations is controlled due to the Covid-19 limitations on the number of commuters to be allowed inside the metro train. As currently, the DMRC issued a declaration which is elucidating the rules and directions that the passengers must keep in mind while travelling. That is while travelling, only sitting on different seats is permitted and no standing is allowed inside the trains as per the present guidelines, according to DMRC.
As per the existing directions, the carrying size of the Delhi Metro at now is in the span of 10 to 15 per cent only, since most trains are being regulated by Delhi Metro and passengers & metro customers have to stand by outside the stations as of the COVID-19 restrictions. Then in spite of some difficulties due to the pandemic, the DMRC had pursued the maintenance work of Delhi Metro’s Phase 4 corridors. And the corporation asserted that it had gained some significant construction indicators in the last few months. Currently, DMRC has pointed out that with development in the Covid-19 scenario, the maintenance work in the Phase 4 estimate is likely to obtain further steps in the days ahead.
The long queues of commuters are caused as only single arrival points are permitted at most of the Delhi Metro stations as in a pile transit system it is hard to control the number of people inside the structure once the entry of commuters is allowed, as per DMRC. It is presently running 5,100 train trips every day with a constancy of 2.5 minutes to 5 minutes on all the significant Delhi Metro corridors. And it asserted that this was the matching frequency at which they were running during the normal pre-Covid periods. Thus, Delhi Metro is working at its full frequency but with limited commuters carrying size owing to Covid-19 limitations.
