AssisTech Foundation (ATF), the most famous platform that brings on the power of technology to make devices for the people who are disabled, has recently launched AssisTech Foundation Award.
The AssisTech Foundation Awards acknowledges and celebrates the new generation of thinkers making products and solutions to empower the lives of around 1 billion disabled people across the world by breaking the chains of discrimination.
AssisTech Foundation Award (ATF) included ten awards in 3 main categories that ultimately declare the onset in the technology and the habitat enablers like NGOs, Government, Schools, Universities, and investors who have succeeded in harnessing technology for beautiful change.
The trophies made for the award function are built by the makers of Titan and truly inspired by the concept of Wabi-Sabi Wabi-Sabi is a Zen Buddhist philosophy that means perfectly imperfect life. It announces three marks of existence i.e. absence of self, embracing impermanence, and suffering.
Every trophy in ATF cracks in the middle, which are considered assets. It marks the essence of using what is available instead of buying something that is of no use. The trophy, a mark of appreciation will be inaugurated by the most famous cricketer known as ‘Wall’, Rahul Dravid during the ATF awards last ceremony. Rahul Dravid has been working with the ATF to bring the noble initiative. The purpose is to make a positive difference in the lives of people.
During the inauguration, Rahul Dravid said, “The AssisTech is trying to do is truly one of the extraordinary work. They are giving voice to the disabled person for amazing tomorrow. And I want to give my support to increase the efforts to promote technology innovators and start-ups. The inauguration is one of the most important things which I wanted to do during the association.
ATF Award is also supported by the most recognized industry leaders like Prof Rishikesha T Krishnan (Director of IIM Bangalore), U.B. Pravin Rao (COO and member of the board of Infosys), Krish Gopal Krishnan (co-founder of Infosys) including other corporates like ThoughtWorks, JP Morgan, etc. The Final ceremony to declare the winners of the ATF awards is planned for 20th August 2021.
