Samsung has introduced its latest generation of foldable smartphones in India, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G and Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G. Both phones will be available for pre-order in the nation from August 24 to September 9 on Samsung.com and at prominent retail outlets. Sales begin on September 10th. The Galaxy Z Flip 3 pricing in India begins at Rs 84,999. The price of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 starts at Rs 1,49,999.
The new version Z Fold 3 will be made available with different configurations like the 12GB/256GB variant and the 12GB/512GB configurations, meanwhile, the new Z Flip 3 will be made available in 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB specifications.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G specs and features
The foldable is IPX8 rated, meaning it is water-resistant. The body of the Z Fold 3’s mainly comprises of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus version (and the main unit of camera comprise of a Corning Gorilla Glass DX version for protection). The inside screen, like the Z Fold 2, is a 7.6-inch QXGA (22081768 pixels) dynamic 120Hz AMOLED, however, it includes an improved 4MP under-display camera this time. It also works with the S-Pen. Meanwhile, the Z Fold 3’s cover screen is moving from 60Hz to dynamic 120Hz while maintaining the same size (6.2-inch) as last year.
The foldable is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 CPU, 12GB of RAM, and up to 512GB of storage. The Z Fold 3 sports have the same triple cameras just like its predecessor, with a 12MP primary main camera, and a 12MP ultra wide-angle camera along with a 12MP telephoto camera. The camera on the cover screen remains unchanged at 10MP. The Z Fold 3’s battery capacity has been reduced somewhat, with a smaller 4,400mAh battery. There is support for both cable and wireless charging.

The Z Flip 3 is a narrative of refinement, much like the Z Fold 3. It is IPX8 certified and features a body nearly entirely constructed of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, while the primary camera unit, like the Z Fold 3, uses Corning Gorilla Glass DX. The Z Flip 3 is also equipped with Samsung’s new protective aluminium frame.
Another major attraction is the Z Flip 3’s cover display, which has finally gained some usefulness. It’s almost 2 inches long now. The inside screen is 6.7-inch 1080p with a dynamic refresh rate of 120Hz, and a hole punch cutout holds the same 10MP camera as last year. The rear camera configuration is still unchanged, so you still have twin 12MP sensors (wide+ultra-wide-angle). The Z Flip 3 features the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 CPU, 8GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of storage. The battery capacity is the same as last year, at 3,300mAh.
