Beewax has recently upgraded its API in its user interface buzz. The upgrade is aimed to make it even smoother and easier to uses. Rather than using an HTTP interface buzz uses the REST interface to view, update, and delete objects.

Just what exactly is an API? API or Application Program Interface is a program that is used by applications to talk with each other. In short, it is a mediator between two programs.

API and its Importance

An API is a set of rules, routines, and protocols on building software applications. It is used by programmers to develop a program. An effective API helps in providing the programmer the building blocks that are required in building a program. An API is developed by an organization to give pure data responses rather than a presentational overhead that is usually seen in a GUI (Graphical User Interface) like you usually see on a website. API helps developers from creating codes from scratch to make a new application. It helps the developers in making a few key changes in the code that help to satisfy the requirements of the application. So how does an API actually work? Imagine you are ordering food in your mobile application, you will browse through the selection of food that different restaurants are offering. Once you have selected a dish of your liking you will select it and pay for it. Now an API fetches the information from your phone and transfers it to the server of the site and then fetches the relevant information for you and transfers the booking details to the company server.

API Changes in “BUZZ”

Now since we already know how important an API is for the performance of an application or the website we’ll talk about the new API changes in the Beewax user interface. The new API changes help the program in having faster data visualization, also manipulate data used for visualization in bulk. The availability of business intelligence tools in the “BUZZ” program has also helped simplify the access to data for the advertisers. The new query tools which are available in the application help data visualization without exporting the data to other programs or platforms. The upgrades aim to meet the needs of the users and make the user interface effective.
