ISA elects Sunil Kataria as the Chairman

CEO, India and SAARC, Godrej Consumer Products, Sunil Kataria was elected Chairman of the Indian Society of Advertisers(ISA) on September 27, 2021. Over the past five years, Sunil has led the Society and has taken it to greater heights with the support from the fellow Executive Council members, the ISA members, and other bodies.

On the occasion of his election for the sixth consecutive term as the Chairman of the ISA, Sunil said, “In this journey of making greater value thesis for the ISA in the industry, the main focus is going to be in making this unique entity even stronger in the coming days to give value-added support to the members for the new normal and ahead of that.

Our attempt this year is to take forward our efforts in the area of digital measurement, as digital advertising has come up as second to TV and is seen growing even more. The plan of ISA to work with BARC to develop a Multimedia Measurement is progressing nicely.

We wholeheartedly thank all fellow organizations for their strong support and this will surely help us reach greater heights. I also confess the continuous support by the ISA members in all our attempts.”

He further added, “ Keeping Covid-19 pandemic in a particular reference, he said, I am happy to acknowledge the cooperation of all our members, vendors, ISA Secretariat team, and industry associates in staying safe, getting vaccinated on time, and stick fast to directives by government band health authorities.”

ISA, for the last 69 years, has been the top national body as a strong voice to advertisers. Its cross-sector advertiser members contribute to more than half of the annual national non-governmental ad spends.

The founder member of the World Federation of Advertisers (WFA) and one of the founders of ASCI, ISA resumes to partner with other industry bodies that connect to the advertisers.

The ISA played a very important role in the making of BARC and is closely being a partner with it for advertisers to get strong and credible data. Sunil had been recognized at a national level by being nominated for the “Marketer of the Year” 2014 award by the International Advertising Association (IAA) of India.
