The 50th anniversary of India’s victory over Pakistan in the 1971 war, which resulted in the formation of Bangladesh, occurs this year.
On December 16, 1971, the Pakistani military forced surrendered in front of India. Since then, this day has been known as Vijay Diwas to celebrate the sacrifices made by the military services.
Not only did the 1971 war liberate Bangladesh, but it also dealt a severe blow to Pakistan. Since World War II, this was the largest military surrender. A 13-day conflict fought on many fronts in two 2,000-kilometer-distance zones. These are the pivotal moments that determined the outcome.
Radico Khaitan has launched an animated video series titled ‘1971 War Chronicles’ under the banner of Spirit of Success to honour and celebrate our brave Indian warriors during the sequence of battles fought during the 1971 India-Pakistan War.
The Battle of Basantar (Jammu), the Battle of Longewala (Bhuj), the Battle of Hilli (East Pakistan), Operation Trident (Naval Operation), and The Tangail Airdrop (Yamuna Bridge – Dacca) are the five parts in the series. The animated series depicts the five pivotal battles that influenced the war and led to India’s victory.
Furthermore, Radico Khaitan earlier created a similar animated film series on the 1965 War Chronicles to pay honour and promote awareness about little-known truths about the war and our heroes’ sacrifices.
The teaser, which was released on Youtube, has received over 2,50,000 views, and the episodes are being broadcast across all of the brand’s digital platforms.
Mr Amar Sinha, COO of Radico Khaitan, stated. as they chose to create an animated video series on the digital platform to memorialise and honour their sacrifices during the 1971 Indo-Pak War so that it not only reaches a large number of people but also raises awareness of our warriors’ great deeds of patriotism among the youth. This series is a little tribute to their courage and patriotism.
Kargil War hero and northern command chief Lt Gen Y K Joshi presented the ‘Swarnim Vijay Dwar’ to the devotion made by Indian troops, in a ceremony at Udhampur Military Station, a defence spokesperson said.
India will never forget the troops who fought for freedom with great bravery and gave their life.
