For the annual Christmas Day extravaganza, the National Basketball Association (NBA) has an impressive slate of games prepared.

Over the course of 5 games, ten teams will go face-to-face, and all of this will be broadcast live on VHI in English, and MTV in Hindi. The games will also be streamed live on VOOT and Jio TV.

Nearly 13 hours of basketball action is promised this year from the top teams in the league.

The games begin at 10:30 PM on December 25, with a rivalry matchup between the New York Knicks and the Atlanta Hawks. In their encounter in the first round of the 2021 Playoffs, the Hawks triumphed over the Knicks.

This series could start a new phase in the rivalry between the two franchises that have played each other since 1949. Christmas night will add more chapters to their budding rivalry.

At 01:00 AM on December 26, the reigning NBA Champions, Milwaukee Bucks will face off against the Boston Celtics. The teams have a historic rivalry, with Milwaukee and Boston’s matchup in the 1974 NBA Finals, in which the Celtics won in seven games.

In the 1980s, they played four playoff series against each other. Several exciting regular-season games and back-to-back playoff meetings in 2018 and 2019 have given their rivalry new life.

The Western Conference clash between the Golden State Warriors and the Pheonix Suns is up next at 3:30 AM. The Suns set the franchise’s longest winning streak, which included a win over the Warriors before Golden State ended the streak at 18 wins. The Warriors were the Western Conference champions for five years from 2015-19.

The penultimate game in this line-up is the clash between the Brooklyn Nets and the Los Angeles Lakers. Six players that feature on the NBA 75th Anniversary Team are in this game. Anthony Davis, Carmelo Anthony, LeBron James, and Russell Westbrook from the Los Angeles Lakers, with Kevin Durant and James Harden from the Brooklyn Nets.

The last game will see the Utah Jazz take on the Dallas Mavericks at 6:30 AM. This is the golden age of young talent in the NBA, with Luka Doncic and Donovan Mitchell leading the pack.

Two two-time NBA All-Stars with spirited games and personalities. In these showcase games on Christmas Day, all eyes will be on them.
