The ed-tech Corporate Gurukul is on an expansion spree and has aimed over $5 million in revenues by FY22.

Newer markets and increasing digitization are things that are expected to help them expand, doubling in a year.

The firm based in Singapore helps students in solving real-life problems by applied learning. The company is expanding across Asian countries including the Middle East and India. Rajesh Panda, the founder of Corporate Gurukul said that they are planning to strengthen and develop their presence in African, American and South American regions.

He added that their major focus would be the US, Latin America and South African continent, and Asia including Korea. The aim is also to go one step further ahead of coding and introduce Artificial Intelligence (AI) to solve real-life issues.

The company had to take six months to pivot from on-campus to an online delivery model and were not significantly affected as much as other industries. As proof, the company witnessed 300% quarter on quarter growth in the last quarter. The company also has confidence that even if one more variant of the Covid-19 came up, the impact would be minimal.

The company was founded in 2007. It’s nearly 40% of overall business accounts to India. Since the past five years, the company has achieved a 150% compounded growth rate. Its presence has expanded to nearly two dozen three countries in South Asia, South East Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.

Universities and schools are offered research and innovation using design thinking and internships by AI by the ed-tech firm. Specialised academic internships in data analytics using machine learning and deep learning are also given for university undergraduates.

The company’s academic partners for research interventions and internships include the National University of Singapore (NUS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), and Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Singapore as the industry partner. To drive a holistic learning experience, the company has also partnered up with corporations like HP and Amazon.

According to the data from Tracxn, it is shown, there are over 5179 ed-tech companies in India that raised a total of $1.1 billion in 2021.
