Starschema, a Hungarian data engineering services company, is being acquired by HCL Technologies for an undisclosed sum.

According to HCL, in addition to enhancing its capabilities in digital engineering, the acquisition will increase HCL’s presence in Central and Eastern Europe and will help the company to gain a stronger foothold in data engineering in the region as well.

As a result of the acquisition, HCL will benefit from Starschema’s expertise in digital capabilities, as well as its market presence in industries undergoing data-driven transformation. Moreover, the company’s digital engineering capacity will be strengthened through the integration with enhanced data-engineering technology from Starschema.

While responding to the acquisition, Tamas Foldi, Founder and CEO, Starschema said that through the affiliation with HCL, Starschema will be able to maintain a strategic focus while expanding data engineering capabilities to provide clients with a more comprehensive range of services.
