India to appoint CEO, CTO, and CFO for semiconductor mission : MeitY Official

The semiconductor industry is a combination of companies working in the design and construction of semiconductors and semiconductor devices, such as transistors and composite networks. It was built in the 1960s when the construction of semiconductor devices became a lucrative business.

The Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY) will appoint senior officials to various posts such as CEO, CTO, and CFO for the ‘India Semiconductor Mission’, a MeitY official said.

In December, the Union Cabinet approved the Semiconductor India project worth Rs 76,000 crore for the development of semiconductors and display construction ecosystems in the country.

According to details shared by MeitY officials, the Ministry is looking for someone with more than 25 years of experience in the semiconductor industry and more than 10 years of experience globally to serve as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of India Semiconductor Mission (CEO). ISM). The applicant for the position of CEO must have held at least the position of Vice President at the helm. The CEO will lead the mission.

The business division of ISM is managed by a professional management team consisting of an Additional Chief Executive Officer, Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and Chief Business Development Officer (CBDO). All of these will be assisted by domain experts from the industry.

MeitY is looking for a person with more than 20 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, at least 10 years of global experience, and at least 10 years of experience. in interviewing the semiconductor sector and electronics manufacturing for the position of Chief Technology Officer.

According to the details, the CTO must have at least served as Vice President or CTO, CSO, or Chief Operating Officer.

Selection is by a search cum selection committee headed by the Mighty Secretary.
