The reason behind this ad is to create awareness in consumers’ minds about other categories of products that Finolex produces, says Mathur. Communication cable was affected by falling prices of fiber, while electrical wore and cables witnessed a growth of 19%. During the quarter optic, fiber cable volumes grew by 80%.
As a part of the campaign, there will be two more TVCs for wire and lighting will come, says Mathur. He says Facebook as a medium is now obsolete, and they are planning to go ahead with another social media presence through being active on Instagram and LinkedIn. Finolex also plans to run their ad on regional languages channel, and TVC will be available in six different languages this will lead to an increase in the reach of Finolex products in different parts of the country. Though the assumption about Finolex is that it is a business-to-business (B2B) brand, Mathur says the majority of business revenue comes from its business-to-consumer (B2C) products.
