UpGrad, an ed-tech company, has announced the appointment of Rakesh Raju as the Director of Brand Marketing in an attempt to strengthen its executive and leadership team.
Raju’s new position at upGrad will require him to develop go-to-market plans and spearhead high-impact marketing campaigns to further solidify the brand’s identity across online and offline channels.
With more than 12 years of professional experience, Raju, an IIM Calcutta alumnus, has managed a variety of marketing portfolios in the FMCG and telecom industries. He began working at CavinKare as a Senior Brand Manager, was promoted to supervise the E-commerce division, and then was given a leadership role to manage the company’s domestic business’s hair care portfolio. Rakesh had been a Senior Product Manager for Airtel’s Telecom and Airtel Money business verticals before joining CavinKare.
