Nickie Scriven, CEO of Zenith, has departed Publicis Groupe. It’s time for me to take the next step in my profession, she declared. Her next move is still undetermined. Scriven resigned from the company in writing and will depart in September.

Publicis assured Mumbrella that a replacement would be announced shortly. Some industry sources claim that she will relocate to Dentsu due to the timing of the move and the open CEO post at the moment.

According to Michael Rebelo, CEO of Publicis Groupe ANZ, “Nickie has taken Zenith to new heights in the eight years she has been a part of the Publicis family, playing a crucial role in leading the growth and development of its talented people and best-in-class products while strengthening client relationships and strategic partnerships.” Among the notable new clients the company has acquired during her tenure are TikTok, Subway, Disney, and Kellogg’s. Through operational excellence, craft and product innovation, and product development, she has built a strong leadership team that will continue to offer clients business success.

We at Publicis would want to sincerely congratulate Nickie for all of her successes with the Zenith team and wish her well on her forthcoming big challenge.

“I want to thank Publicis Groupe for all the wonderful opportunities they have provided me,” Scriven concluded. After more than six years in the role, it’s time for me to advance to the next stage of my professional career. Being given the chance to lead Zenith as CEO has been an absolute joy and pleasure. In addition, I want to thank everyone who helped make these years so fruitful, especially my incredible Executive Team. I am incredibly proud of what we have managed to accomplish together. I transfer the management of Zenith to my capable and excellent Executive Team, and I wish the next CEO well in continuing the Groupe and Zenith’s speed and progress.

Publicis declined to comment on Scriven’s impending shift in the same way that Dentsu rebuffed rumours that he would be joining the Japanese holding firm.

Scriven has worked for the company for eight years, joining Melbourne MD in 2014 from Australian Super. She held the position of CEO for five and a half years before receiving a promotion in early 2017.

Ending a year of growth for Publicis Groupe, Zenith wrested the lucrative Subway advertising business from AKQA Media/Essence in late 2021. Dentsu Media’s CEO, Sue Squillace, announced her resignation and is scheduled to leave the company this month.
