Meghnad S. and Safura Ubaid have been named as the creative directors of the podcast network IVM Podcasts’ non-fiction and fiction material, respectively.

Meghnad S. will seek for ideas and direct operations from inception to production of content in the non-fiction category in his capacity as creative director (non-fiction). Numerous non-fiction podcasts, including those about politics, current events, sports, and finance, are available on the podcast network. Ubaid, meantime, will brainstorm, develop ideas and plots, and oversee the current catalogue of fiction audio plays. Ubaid has previously worked on producing content for websites and streaming services including Netflix, Amazon, Universal Pictures, and Fox Star Studios.

“We are in a golden age of storytelling, and what’s amazing is that we are seeing a significant shift in how people are consuming stories. Building a strong slate of premium fiction in an environment where stories can transform into excellent scripted audio and video entertainment is something I’m looking forward to “According to Ubaid’s remark.

The company is ensuring that its business is prepared to navigate and scale in a quickly changing content landscape by bringing in the top talent and strengthening the management team. IVM Podcasts-Pratilipi head Amit Doshi made a comment.

The top four industries likely to experience revenue growth in the nation over the next four years are OTT video, Internet advertising, video games and e-sports, music, radio, and podcasts, according to results from PricewaterhouseCoopers’ (PwC) Media and Entertainment Outlook 2020 report.

A podcast series typically has one or more recurrent hosts talking about a specific subject or current event. A podcast’s conversation and content might be either meticulously scripted or entirely improvised. Podcasts mix complex and creative sound design with themes that range from cutting-edge science to slice-of-life journalism. Numerous podcasts include a website that includes links, show notes, transcripts, guest biographies, supplementary resources, comments, and even a community forum where listeners may debate the show’s topics.

India has grown to be the third-largest podcast listening market in the world after China and the US, with 57.6 million monthly listeners, the report said. This growth has been fueled by the uptake of music streaming companies and people turning to motivational, spiritual, fun, and fitness content during the lockdown.
