In an exclusive business, Mahesh Patel, Co-founder of CloudTailor, talks about how the prevailing ecosystem of personalized fashion is uncertain and problematic and how cloud fashion is earning favour in India. He highlights the significance of uniting technology with the brand and summarizes how CloudTailor is gearing up for growth.

CloudTailor is a D2C platform that gives end-to-end fashion and tailoring outcomes at your fingertips with a permit to fashion designers’ consultation, doorstep measurements, and complimentary lifetime alterations.

The path has been enhancing, fulfilling, and unfolding all at the same time. We are governing on a physical model and physical experience centres are a significant part of our omnichannel technique. This enables consumers who are not pleased with an online experience to arrive and undergo our services and expertise in person before they move on to an online path.

The present ecosystem of personalized fashion is uncertain and filled with tales of conflict and complication, and the notion was ridden to deal with the challenges women encountered when it reaches to personalized fashion. I, together with my other two founders, Susmitha Lakkakula and Rudra Pratap, was familiar that the demand for personalized fashion is a multi-billion-dollar business and an age-old business which can have a swirl of innovation.

Online tailoring is a whirl on the traditional form of tailoring where the consumer doesn’t need to go through the nuisance of travelling to visit the tailor and can access the tailoring services digitally from the solace of their home or their office.

Our founder, Susmitha, discovered everything there is to understand about tailoring and personally got on to take measurements of over 500 customers to comprehend the pain points before we put the pen to the paper and began filing and performing the first UX and storyboard sketches. Ultimately, our first hire was our head of tech – as we were assured that we had to shake the beehive with tech and disrupt the path tailoring was occurring so far.

The challenge didn’t cease while conceptualizing. Once we commenced, in the initial phases, the biggest challenge was measurements. Consumers did not know how to measure themselves and that built a gap. We sent in a solution for this by providing our customers multiple options such as measurements at home, delivering sample garments, phoning for measurements, or providing the measurements on the platform.

Tech plays a very significant role for us and one can effortlessly say how tech is a vital part of our business model as we are the foremost tech-enabled personalized fashion brand in India. Our co-founder, Rudra Pratap reaches with strong expertise and experience in tech, so every second, we speculate on how to unravel existing pain points prevailing in a personalized fashion through technology.

Not just the future, for any industry to succeed, one should marry technology with the brand.
