How can the eternal frenemies – work together?

I saw an article on The Hard Copy that examined why the digital banking interfaces in India are so bad. That made me pause. Most fintech goods need assistance in communicating with the digital audience in the visual language they understand because they are more convenient than their new neo-bank and start-up competitors.

 I’ve seen related issues in several industries as a strategist who develops design strategies for businesses, and I think there is a solution to this design issue. Knowing how to collaborate with your enemies, the designers and programmers who make these financial interfaces would be useful. Two options can be used by these businesses, in my experience as a strategist at a design studio that collaborates daily with project managers.

Project Managers vs. Designers vs. Developers – Starting points include having a strong design system, tidying up your files, holding stakeholder meetings, and having an appropriate template for a business requirement (BRD). Transparent and unbiased communication between the designers and developers and the project management as a whole produces amazing results. Communication helps close gaps and they can carry out the said plan for the end-user when bank PMs give (it could be anyone from a company giving a brief to a studio, also known as “vendors”) a brief to a designer who attempts to identify the need of the end-user and re-working the original brief with a creative brief. And the best technique is to start with hypotheses and assumptions of what you think may be true based on research or observation (sometimes, this is crazier than it sounds).

Design to Developer Handover – It typically works effectively for both non-designers and designers. All parties involved must realize that no single process will be able to achieve all goals. However, a competent designer will make the system as efficient as possible for all parties involved. In a perfect world, the timescales would be realistically determined by the current state of an app, its surroundings, and the management of the organization. Therefore, keep in mind that BRD was developed to highlight all a PM knows and may assist the designer-developer team in understanding how to move the project forward and have a realistic, useful, and fantastic timeline for the project.

This cannot occur without the coordination of formats of a well-planned quick dialogue between the design and development team transparently (even if they are different “vendors” or “internal to external” letting them have a dialogue will help two very important pillars for a product in-sync) team might give more clarity as to what would be the required steps to ensure a good solution.
