ESGRO is a holistic framework that extends commitment to sustainability in Real Estate Operations

Mumbai, 23rd August 2022: Embassy Services Private Limited (ESPL), the property management arm of Embassy Group, has announced their framework for Environmental, Social and Governance for Real Estate Operations (ESGRO). This will enable real estate operations (Integrated Facilities Management) in accordance with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Through this framework, ESPL will help its clients pursue their ESG goals with a strategic approach and tend to the operational aspects of real estate management.

Within the real estate industry, companies have committed to inculcating measures towards Net-Zero through their investors and stakeholders. The ESGRO framework will be in sync with the evolving ESG policies of organisations to assess their operational goals and priorities. The framework not only addresses environmental performance and climate change with a prioritised focus on water stewardship, energy management, and waste management, it will also support the organisation’s social and governance facets of social equity, training & development, health & safety, wellbeing, employee engagement, CSR, supply-chain performance, risk management, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance, among others.

ESPL has invested in building the advisory capabilities required to guide clients in embedding ESG through executable strategies. ESGRO adheres to global sustainability standards and is committed to monitoring, improving, and auditing policies that bolster ESG for the real estate sector. In line with India’s aim to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2070, the ESGRO framework will deploy quality practices and processes that help their clients develop, maintain, and accelerate operational mechanisms across their real estate infrastructure.

We, at Embassy Services, are delighted to announce the launch of our ESGRO framework to implement sustainable real estate operations. ESG is not new to us – it’s foundational to the corporate strategy and deeply ingrained in our business operations at Embassy Group. Since we manage some of the largest business parks, solar plants, industrial parks, luxury residential properties, and commercial offices, we can leverage experiential practices to drive the ESG avenues of our clients in an advisory and implementable capacity. Every organization and sector have its own nuances and realities when it comes to the ESG path. How we as their IFM partner can strive to inculcate the most sustainable practices and support their pursuit of ESG is the purpose of ESGRO,” said Pradeep Lala, MD & CEO of Embassy Services Private Limited.
