September 2022 : Chaulaz Heritage Jewellery, the Indian designer Jewellery brand has launched their Bridal Basra Pearl Collection, synergising the artwork’s beauty, craftsmanship and designs. The sketch work of the pieces came alive with handweaving the nose pin and the entire necklace. The brand specialises in antique heritage jewellery made with precious stones such as rubies, emeralds, and uncut diamonds.
The journey of the Basra collection commenced with the karigars in Jaipur, who wove the Basra nose pins. Consequently, the necklace was divided into four parts and took a staggering eight whole months to finish. The opulence of the necklace can be defined by its Khaki pearls, precious stones of turquoise, emeralds and rubies with Polki diamonds. This enchanting set is a pair of earrings, a two-piece necklace and a pendant.
Bridal jewellery symbolically represents love, culture and desire, something a woman adorns on the auspicious occasion of her wedding. For most women, bridal jewellery is exclusive to celebrate that moment of joy, making the buzz around having the perfect bridal trousseau valid and worth it! The best way to make a trousseau is to align it with modern times yet pay an owed tribute to your rich heritage.
Talking about the new collection, Chaula Patel, the Founder of Chaulaz, shared, “My journey in jewellery designing for the last 17 years has strengthened the approach and ideas of jewellery designing, which I have embedded into the culture we have at Chaulaz. Our driving force in creating jewellery and designs at Chaulaz is how much of it can be connected to our culture. The work that we do and the designs we create are a true reflection of our rich traditions. We customise heritage designs by giving them a modern touch, making them wearable for women today.”
